Mike Reed gave me a 32 digit number which he claimed was a Microsoft licence number for all our computers on our network. SCAM An automated voice was saying that I've just purchased iPhone and the amount of over £1000 will be deducted from the card associated with my personal Amazon account, it asked me to choose the option to confirm the transaction or speak to an adviser. I have logged into my Amazon account, there is no such order placed. I also have checked my bank account, no pending transactions. I haven't received any notification from the bank about activities on my account.

An Indian voice, named James !, confirmed my details claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service and asked if I was still getting unwanted calls. I confirmed that I still get these and he informed me that I needed to update my details with them as it was about to expire. He then asked if I paid by direct debit - at this point I realised this to be a scam and ended the call.
