Can't think why a bank would use a mobile phone number to text messages to it's customers. This was an automated call claiming to be from a bank (unspecified), warning me about two purchases through Amazon, on my bank card. I had a similar call for a local number earlier in the day. I didn't click 1 or 2 to authorise or to get help. Apparently the number is a landline in Bangalore!

Scam saying there PayPal said I had 2 unlawful payments go out and wanted me to confirm then they sent texts apparently from the bank but looked nothing like it . I got suspicious and put the phone down and found £1000 taken out my account . Then they persistently called me for days on random numbers very dangerous

When I told her this was untrue and she shouldn t be looking at my financial information, she shouted "shut up. shut up!" down the phone and hung up. I d say that was pretty dodgy wouldn t you?
