SCAM called with an automated message saying that it's from the tax office and I owe tax and to prevent going to jail that I needed to press 1 to answer them. I haven't worked in over 20years so I don't pay tax so not even the smallest possibility that I would owe any. Also the tax office would never contact you by phone. Just and scam to steal money. Why don't they get a proper job.

A voice said he was James from Relief Energy who said; "I've been trying to call you for a few days now, actually." Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. I missed the call they rang at 7:17pm who rings at this hour? ????♂️ it's most likely spam as Google doesn't show that it belongs to any reputable company. Also no idea how they have my number so I'll just block it for that reason alone.

I am suspicious of this number because after receiving a possible ?phishing call I made a 1471 call to discover the number the call came from I was given this number, which I rang. It was answered by a man who told me he was in Kent and i told him why I had called his number but nothing else(my name or location) i suggested he should look into how this could have happened and that his line might be compromised somehow.

This number is claiming to be Currys PC World Mobile. I work at Currys myself and is internally being recognised as a spam number pretending to be Currys to sell fake mobile contracts for their details. Avoid.
Quite possibly genuine call from British Gas, but as yet not able to confirm that categorically.
