I've been receiving lots of calls to my business mobile starting 0843. All of them without exception disconnect after around 3 rings. No doubt to get you to call back - so I suspect this is a scam, even though I'm the first to comment on this number here.
Can barely speak English, doesn't know my name, doesn't know his own name, can't tell me what his is company is called but he wants my bank details.

Lady asked if i want to authorize or cancel Amazon purchase of a gift card £300.00 She asked about BOB and Full name but when I asked to give me my name she said that she approves the purchase because i refused to give my name and hanged up. someone rang my mobile from 07776 458280 and when i answered there was silence - no one spoke. I did not recognise the number as it was not in my contacts!
When I answered there was a bit of noise on the other end, then suddenly the person muted the call. I need the call too and after a few more seconds hung up. Feels like a scan to me.

Call I had I did not answer as was in the bath, but when I called back on this number, said they were in "Marketing", and were selling improved driveways! I hung up as I believe it was a scam.

Early morning call; the caller claimed to be from amazon asking about an iPhone order(never made) and said someone must have used my details. They asked if I was on an Android or iPhone, or to go to google on chrome to search for 'Anydesk' ( this App is for remote access, so I refused to download it,) when they realized I understood what it was they hung up. Be careful people!

I got 2 short calls and before I could pick up they stopped. I don't know this number or anyone I know personally who would have this number.
Could not pronounce my name and offered a discount on all my white goods as I hadn't claimed in the last 6 months..... Had my address and postcode then for their records asked for Bank sort code ..... you can guess what said then !
I received an unsolicited call from this number. The caller claimed to be selling stock shares/investment opportunities. The caller would not accept my no as an answer. I politely concluded the call and h8ng up. I cannot say that it is a scam but I have now blocked this number.

I asked for a house price quote via Zoopla and this William H Brown number called me. This company was one of the three from which I requested a quote, so no issue with that. Problem is I live overseas, which is why I stated I wanted to be contacted by email. Even WhatsApp would do. But that's the way they operate. They like to be in your face.

Claims to be from EE promotions, I thought it was true as I did recently ask EE to call me as I was in the realm for an upgrade. Indian lady with call centre background noise called, she said she was from carphone warehouse. And gave me a iphone 15 max deal with unlimited Internet and calls for £18.
