Claimed to need your details as part of the “tax advisory group” to claim money back from HMRC. When I said I had done that direct they said they can go back the maximum amount of years. I said yes you can do that direct and then he said okah bye and hung up.

I received call from this number claiming to be reporting that my desktop computer had been hacked. Suspicious. Caller broke off when I expressed doubts about veracity of his claims.

Twice when I picked up the phone the line went dead. The third time, a lady said something which included the words "Tax refund" but, despite asking her to repeat herself several times, I could not make out anything else she said as she had a very strong foreign accent. So I blocked the number.

Then when he asked for the year I was born, I told him 1900 and he hung up. Banking Automated call 'This is bank security ' alleging two card transactions on account. As there is less than £100 in the account, this seems highly unlikely. Simply hung up at this point, but such calls are annoying and potentially dangerous. Have cheçked with my bank in the past, who assure me they would never make such a call
