My partner got a call saying he was getting a £1000 loan but wanted him to pay £75..we where going back and forward told my partner it was a scam and to ask them to send contract details over, my partner called him back and told him we didn't want the loan and was told to keep the £75 in his account and was told to f*ck off!! It's a Macclesfield area code. Bunch of cold callers. Before I took part in an Office of National Statistics (ONS) survey I didn't receive such calls. Despite the ONS saying they didn't release my details to 3rd parties it seems they did as the coincidence is too great. Block this number as I have done.
