Then said he didn t blame me. Asked if I would answer a few simple questions to be entered into a prize draw for a holiday. SCAM / SPAM When I answered the call an automated voice told me that it was HMRC and I was being investigated for tax fraud. It said to press 1 to be taken to HMRC. I pressed 1 and a lady with an Indian accent answered saying she was HMRC and "how can I help you?" I explained that I had just answered the phone to this number saying I was being investigated and she asked for my name. I have been called on numerous occasions throughout the day from the number originating from Doncaster. I have no connection with Doncaster personally or work related. I have checked all policies held and none correspond. Probably easier to answer the call to confirm but this has the feel of a scam/cold call.

14 Oct 2021 - Caller pretended to be a friend of my daughter when she had asked for her and I told her she no longer lived here. She said her name was Sarah and claimed she had pressed the wrong number in her list of contacts. Seemed very plausible as daughter has a Friend named Sarah, but transpires they haven't been in touch for years. Reply
