Called saying i had two transactions against my visa card they believed were suspicious. One from amazon for a small amount and another for someone else for over 1k. asked me to press some buttons to agree or query these transactions, not a chance thanks.

I've put this as a Missed call but i didnt actually answer phone, i just let it ring as i didnt know who this was from and didnt actually recognise number, I'm very wary these days ,as there's too many scams goin around so i typed this number into google to see what came up it lead me here where it seemed to have a negative rating , so i will block in my Phone along with many others over the yrs .

SCAM call from a man with Asian accent who said he was BT Openreach. I asked him if there was a problem with my BT internet. He said yes, how did I know that? I said well why else would you be phoning me? He said it's been running very slow for the last few days to which I replied that it's come to a complete stop because I don't have BT internet. I then told him to do something that I won't repeat and hung up.

Was rung by this number - automatic voice message regarding my supposed visa account having no money in it, £95 aparantly taken. Cut off the call. Checked banking - no such issue. Scam call. Hard as its a local number so elderly when seeing number would possibly assume local bank.

Being used for phishing. Claims to be from bank security warning of large amounts taken from your card, usually including Amazon, but, as usual, does not specify which bank or card.

I never answer the landline (to avoid giving scammers/spammers the knowledge that my landline is a valid number). I researched the number but could not find a legitimate index entry, so I conclude it is a scam and not to be trusted at all. Potentially dangerous. Claimed to be from Amazon security and wax saying someone was try to spend £700 on my account and asked for my banking info. Immediately very suspicious as sure Amazon would not do this.

01877 is the local code for my village when I answered the call it was a recorded message from Amazon Prime. Was this a scam call? Could be dangerous.
