I first asked him to confirm my IP address (dynamically allocated) and he gave me something he made up - that didn't have all 4 sets of numbers. Cold call. Chris. Friendly but persistent for a free survey for loft insulation saying the insulation we have could cause condensation and damp. Declined their invitation, looked online to find the number was from Reading, then at "Wokingham Borough Council News." to find "WARNINGS OF LOFT INSULATION SCAMMERS".

Appears to be a phishing call. I answered and an automated voice just said "goodbye" and the call ended. This typically is an attempt to have you call the number back for any number of reasons, typically non of which are good.

Attempted scam involving dubious Visa payments, two detailed of £900 and £247. Press 2 to query them and the first thing they ask is for your name, in a heavy foreign accent. Just hang up.

SCAM - initial recording warned my electric was going to be shut off in a few minutes. When I transferred to a "representative" it was what sounded like an Indian man. He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. SCAM Received a call today (Indain as usual) about my Sky broadband being slow and this was a free check. Apparently my router has had many problems and is telling their server that my speed is slow!!!! Wanted to know my download/upload speeds and ping! Purport to be transaction investigators for TSB, and for an hour went over and over questioning, checking transactions, cancelling card, and then working very hard to persuade that account needed closing and reopening with a safe sort code and account number, asking about standing orders and Direct debits!!! Thankfully we realised in time and put a stop to it. They had enough information by then to make it dodgy!!!!

This number has harassed me several times in the last few days with unwanted energy calls Asking if I am the owner of the property

If this number contacts you about a "recruitment", it's a scam. Do not engage. And certainly don't deposit any money into their service, you're not getting it back.
