These jokers called me today addressing me as "Mr Steven" I said where are you calling from? He said "Nationwide" I said "Really? Well then you should know that in Britain nobody is Mr first name either just use their first name or Mr with their last name". This confused my thickly accented Indian friend greatly but I think he understood me in the end. They rang our landline and asked to speak to the BT broadband account holder. I said I was the broadband user and then they put the phone down on me. So I have blocked the number.

SCAM / SPAM Phoned me twice in last week saying its the HMRC and that I am the subject of a tax fraud case. Told me to respond or risk prosecution.
Why can t OFCOM do something about these types of call - suggesting I have been involved in an RTA s - surely OFCOM could remove the so called company s telephone number! Supposedly from Sigma Advice Company - Joshua Simons - they ring me monthly from a different number so WTF is OFCOM for?

I got a robotic call from HMRC claiming that I am guilty of tax fraud. On the HMRC website, this is listed as an example scam call.
SPAM - Caller refuse to leave a message. This is not the first time I have received a call from a number listed in Bournemouth.
Keep on getting calls from this number but when I answer no one is there to talk to me. Also tried to ring back but number unobtainable. I do not trust whoever it is.

Received a text message with the phrase "Hello, I'm curious. Why is your phone number in my address book and do we know each other?" Not the first time I have had this message out of the blue.
Scam or fraud - try to scare you into believing you are a victim of crime and then no doubt would go on to ask you to give them your personal information or money if stupid enough to fall for it

saying they are from talktalk and they have "detected problems with my router". Every time they ring the number changes slightly so you can t tell they ve rung before. I am heartily fed up with these people. Each time I report the scam number to talktalk on their website. Don t know if it does any good but its worth a try.
