Had a call from this number saying they were from BT and that my broadband was not working properly.When I questioned the validity of the call,telling them my broadband was fine,they became abusive and eventually ended the call.
A very suspect call. Phone rang and after a few seconds of silence the call terminated. I would never try to phone back in case of the call-back scam which can put you through to a premium number which makes massive charges. This kind of call, even if a genuine cold call, can be very worrying to some people and I abhorr the method.

I missed a no caller ID call from Dundee city council, the person gave me this number to call back on. I'm immediately greeted by an American automated voice giving me options to which I decide to hold for assistance cuz none of them mean anything to me. Automated "suspicious activity" message, mentioned £1000 foreign transfer. I let them talk to my answering machine and ignored. Interestingly, had another call 10 mins later, this time from 01732 896820 - they hung up immediately my machine kicked in. Probably the same scammer using different numbers??

If this is as others say ..Everest. that company went bust in 2019 and is now called everest 2020. They still owe or Chapel more than 4k deposit back. I have had this number blocked since last year because it kept ringing and there was nothing there . It just came up again as a blocked call today.. and yesterday. It was not ghe number I had as a contact for Everest or Everest 2020.

ALLEGEDALLY from an Internet internet provider suggesting that there had been some illegal activity from my internet. At this point I put the phone down. It is obviously a SCAM. I will be blocking this number.
Returning the call has a message that says "thank you for calling In Credit Management". They have no website and call from multiple different numbers, as such this is likely a scam. Block the number. If it was a genuine collection agency then they would at least have an internet presense and would not operate out of an oversees call centre.

"Megan" from "Nationwide Fire Safety" claimed that we had a quote last year (2021) for inspection of 5 fire extinguishers for 89+vat but that has expired, but she can offer us 67+vat for 5 and 5+vat for each new one for an inspection on the 24th of October at our Ashford, Kent address. We have never had fire extinguishers, we moved from Kent over 8 years ago and have never received a quote from this company (which doesn't actually seem to exist!).
