PPI claims company. Asked for me by name, and said that they understood that I was recently rejected a claim. I corrected them saying I made my claims already and nothing was refused, your "facts" are wrong! Caller was like "oh, er...ok, then we ll take you off our system..." to which I interrupted "that will be advisable, as my number is TPS registered and this number will be reported if you call again!" Trusted to answer as it's a number local to me. Turned out to be an automated message claiming to be from VISA payments to say that my card had been charged £300 to Amazon and £1100 to Western Union, encouraged me to press 1 to dispute charges. Decided it was going to be a phishing scam and hung up.

I was called by this number this morning. They told me they were calling regarding my licence from MICROSOFT being lapsed. They told me they would be able to renew my licence and could show me how to remove hackers from my laptop. I allowed these people access to my laptop thinking I was removing the hackers and viruses from the laptop. They gained access to my files and I have had money removed from my bank account (now closed).

She then asked if a friend or relative may have been involved in a car accident etc, but as soon as I said no and asked for my number to be removed , she hung up.
