This caller tried to take control of my computer by asking me to run the file Ammy. He said he was from windows error reporting and he could see on his screen that my computer had over 2000 error reports. I didn t run the file, as my windows firewall blocked it when i clicked Run, and i was suspicious.

This number kept calling me and there was just silence at the other end whenever I answered. Once there was a man s voice saying "hello?" but the following calls were just silence. Either it s a hoax or someone who can t work a phone well!

Number actually shows as 0019798234079 on caller ID but this site seems to drop the 00. This is a Windows security scam where they tell you that you have viruses on your PC and they can fix them for you. Didn t go along with it today and said to them that I suppose they were going to show me errors and warnings in my Windows event logs and they just hung up without any further comment. Hopefully they will remove me from their database if they realise I m too Windows savvy to ever fall for this.

Call from a welsh lady claiming I had been referred , despite not knowing my name and giving a former address. It claimed to be from Amazon, saying a large purchase had been made on my account. Press 1 for information. I put the phone down. On checking my Amazon account, all the purchases were correct. This was a scam
