Trusted to answer as it's a number local to me. Turned out to be an automated message claiming to be from VISA payments to say that my card had been charged £300 to Amazon and £1100 to Western Union, encouraged me to press 1 to dispute charges. Decided it was going to be a phishing scam and hung up.

He advised he was cancelling my debit card, and could not send me a new one without those details, and that a fraudulent purchase had been made with my card. 07834756958 A Person calls up and says I think you have my phone. (Strange as I've had this number for over 10yrs.) Told him I think you got a wrong number. Then get a text saying sorry to bother you I got a few numbers the wrong way around. Possibly someone doing research to see if the number is active to put it on scam site. So will look out for more calls.

This number is used by Brighthouse head office in Watford, they are a pain in the arse, and use several similar numbers from the Watford code but are a legitimate company. they are usually rining about late payments ect.
Said his name was Victor and was calling from BT, having provided guarded responses to his queries he asked if I had changed my broadband internet setting from Private to Public recently and when I said No the call was ended from his side. Hmmmm...suspicious?
