My record will show that I have been alert through two telephone contacts from my sheltered housing flat in ensuring that my bills are timeously paid with appropriate assurances. I, no-one I know, and no-one in their right mind would answer an unknown number. After searching through hospital numbers for fear it might be a dear friend trying to get in touch I found tonight the 10 or more calls came from my energy supplier with whom prior arrangements were amicably in place. SCAMCaller kept asking me questions and kept talking over me when I tried to ask him questions. Really dodgy call. Wanted to send someone out to look at the insulation in my loft and to see if there was any damp or rot, if there was then I could have it sorted for a fee. The call just rang alarm bells for me and is almost definitely a scam of some sort.

He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card.
