This recorded call is allegedly from "bank security" about suspicious purchases. Oddly, they don't mention which bank!!! Ignore, must be a scam ????♀️
It is a scam. This number was used to call me to say someone had fraudulently ordered a £750 i phone from Amazon and I should press a digit on my phone to be put through to someone who could help me. Checked my acct and nothing amiss.
I rang the number back it’s about PPI saying I had money back in 2019 I told the lady I didn’t receive any money and to remove me from their database She started to raise her voice asking why would they do that when I had received money! I told her I had NOT received any money and to remove me from database. She started to speak I cut her short and said these calls should be removed remove me immediately and hung up. Fraud Sent WhatsApp messages to my mother saying "Hi Mum, this is my new number, I broke my phone, my day has been the worst, I don't want to talk about it, I am really stressed out", I'm paraphrasing, but that covers everything that was said in the conversation except Mum asking "John, is that you?" which they replied "yes". Fooled her, and she didn't even mention it for a few days, only found out because she called me on FB messenger to ask how I was

Overseas noisy background call centre female claiming to be from ‘the technical department’ not a specific company just technical department. Red flags were didn’t know my name or address. I challenged her told her she was talking rubbish about being a technical department. I used a few choice profanities to which she called me a few! I asked her if those were technical terms and she hung up! Obvious scamming call. The call was at 08:45 on a Saturday.

Only annoying as I text the number to say i would phone number back i did i did not leave a voice message and there have not got back to me. And on this site the number does say s UK number but just not the real location of the number.

BT Call Guardian took care of it as the spammers/scammers will never bother to 'announce' themselves... they can't when they're using autodiallers to try and connect to as many number as possible. This phone number called me about a loan I apparently was applying for and said they would send me an email, they asked for my account number and sort code, I still haven't received the email and I am not happy that these people have got my details, thank God it isn't my main account.
Said they were from Currys/PC World about my phone plan. I told them I'm quite happy with my plan and would never get Curry's involved with that so their call is pointless.
