Scam pretend eBay call Do NOT ring it

Scammers. An indian man called saying he is from Sky broadband and needs to check something about the security of the connection. He asked if I had an android phone where I could download a specific app (TeamViewer QuickSupport or AnyDesk Remote Desktop). If you install these apps they will try to get remote access to your phone and will steal everything they can. Just hang up and report the number.

Green Energy Together asking for a 25% upfront payment to secure our solar panel installation, they didn't introduce themselves properly so I didn't trust them and told them I'd rather stick to the agreement to pay on the day as originally agreed. They said I'd receive a confirmation email for the new install date but I didn't so I suspect this was a fraud caller.

Government energy discount fraud...click a link asking you to fill in details to apply for your energy discount, I fell for it and gave my personal details and bank card long number and security code at the back..luckily cancelled my card in time...be aware you aren't needing to apply for the energy discount if you're eligible you'll get it paid into your account automatically.

SPAM txt message rec'd sayin Hi mum my phones damged (couldn't even get the spelling right) whats app me your number its urgent. Total scam /phishing for live numbers so don't reply back I don't even have any kids!!!

Telemarketing

Call from a SCAM gardening & landscaping firm (Tree & Landscaping Services) who send round a team (family members) who will not go away until paid large sums of money. My mother paid them over £600 for about an hour with a chainsaw cutting down healthy trees. They demanded payment in cash & took her to a bank to collect that. I reoprted the offenders to Greater Manchester police who refused to take action.

Suspicious call with strange background noises - children playing? - telling me she was from BT investigating my internet connection having been hacked and wanting my details to fix it.

SCAM man called Kevin called said he was from credit solutions and said been brought to attention I had outstanding debts (which I don't) Told him no further off and put phone down this was 19/7/1923

Scammers! Apparently, this was a call from the TPS! Asking me to verify who I pay my bills to so they can block nuisance calls. Hahahaha!

Spencer from The Energy Support Hub on 02922 229968 called me today. A sales scam as far as I am concerned. Carefully worded opening sales pitch offers Home Owners with a Gas boiler over 7 years old or more a replacement boiler at no additional cost to them, or some such spiel. What the Sales team deliberately fail to mention in the opening spiel is that the cost of the boiler is met through the up to 50% saving on the Home Owners annual gas bill. This only becomes clear some way into the call.

I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! SCAM Contacted me about a car accident i had a few weeks ago. knew i was in an accident, knew my name but didn't know anything else. was pushing for information from me about the accident, whether there was another party, any witnesses, what damage there was, what the outcome was. was on phone for roughly 5 minutes. when they tried to take the number of the person i collided with, i said no and she hung up on me. clear scammer.

They then asked for a payment of £201.56 to be made to ‘Mary Monco’ and at that point I knew it was fraudulent. Reported to RBS and they confirmed it wasn’t them
