I stated no I was put through to a foreign call center stating to be from the Halifax. I stopped him and stated I will end the call and call Halifax direct myself. Called twice within the hour during the evening. Nottingham code. We live hundreds of miles from there! Left answer machine to deal with it. Recorded message saying there was a power cut in our area (there was not) press a number to acknowledge we'd heard the message (we didn't). We unplugged the phone overnight as they'd said they'd let us know when the power would be back on. Odd!
