This number is ringing my BT landline every day at different times of the day claiming to be from the BT technical department. The caller says they have been monitoring my broadband connection for several weeks and have detected a number of unauthorised users using my IP address. To correct this they want me to open my computer and accept new settings that they are about to give me. At this point I hang up assuming this is a scam and will give access to my PC and everything that is stored on it.

received a fraudulent call from this number

Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!

Recvd call from this number on Work mobile. Didn't answer. Called back a few minutes later. Does not accept i/c. Strongly suspect Scammer

I'm not with EE he wanted my name then offered unlimited for £7 I refused to give any info at all.. I said you're getting nothing and hung up.. And now blocked.. Sick of them using UK numbers.

This guy claims to a decorator may be he is, Nevertheless he hacks into peoples phones especially women, he must get some sort of kick out it. Be mindful if you receive a meme or messages via WhatsApp from him, suggest you delete it straight away and block him. In addition, if you receive a message/meme from a contact in your phone that they normal would not send delete it. Scam call, allegedly from VISA - I haven't even got a VISA card! Claims my card (the one I haven't got) was used for a large spend on Amazon (it's always Amazon, isn't it?). Funny how this is from the same dialling code as mine (01454) so obviously area-targetting, and trying to make it look genuine, like as if it's from a local bank.

My work phone was called by this number, and got a recorded message, ostensibly from my bank, saying the two large transactions, one of which was to Amazon for £999 had been blocked, and said that I had a choice to either release the transactions or speak to a representative. This number is supposedly based in Slough, but that's not where my bank is, so I ignored it.

All reported here. ANYONE got any suggestions please?
