One ring and then ended call.
This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. This is because I am on Carers Allowance. HMRC do not have my mobile number. SCAM

SCAM - Claimed to be from Sky technical department to fix my internet users. Apparently I have "strangers" using my internet. Only "stranger" here was this dude.
Picked up the phone after finding no information on the number on Google and the line dropped immediately. Seems best to avoid picking up.
Fraud
SCAM Fraud SCAM Absolute scumbags who have been preying on my elderly mother for years. They 'sell' unnecessary appliance insurance such as TV or washing machine cover, household wiring cover, and boiler cover, often at extortionate amounts higher than cost of replacement of appliance for new. Once they have your bank or card details, they set you up for additional policies you didn't want, often for appliances you don't even own. I doubt there's actually any cover in place.
