I was called by this number this morning. They told me they were calling regarding my licence from MICROSOFT being lapsed. They told me they would be able to renew my licence and could show me how to remove hackers from my laptop. I allowed these people access to my laptop thinking I was removing the hackers and viruses from the laptop. They gained access to my files and I have had money removed from my bank account (now closed).
I haven't ask for their call or answered it

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I had moneys passing in and out of my account for a car purchase and my Bank were checking I was happy with the transactions to go through. Did several security checks and were satisfied I was happy with the money going out of my account.
Started off by saying that there are a couple of government initiatives that are around that might be applicable to me. Asked if I have loft insulation and if it is more than 3 years old it will not comply with updated regulations after the Grenfell tower fire. Not sure if this is legit - he wanted to book a half hour survey of my loft. Declined saying that I would check out the government initiatives for myself as this was an unsolicited call.

Green Flag, I assume I had recently changed some details of my cover. When I called them about this number they said they had a special arrangement with the company who sent it and that I would not be charged. But if I was they wanted me to call them and they would refund the money to me. I don't think so. I still believe this number to be a scam.

We answered this call to be asked if we wanted a Will writing service. They not only new our phone number they also new our Surname. We are ex directory so this should not happen but I understand it is not always a BT fault/reason. It is, though a BT problem if they do not take the number away from the owner as well as refuse them a phone line. Surely this is possible? BT please read !!!
