I answered on one occasion where there was just silence and then they hung up so I blocked the number, they are still trying to ring me constantly with not even 10 minutes apart now, getting very annoyed. Lady wanted to speak to my business partner but would refuse to give any information about why other than a business call. She got the hump and said she d email him, so I asked her to remove our number. She was saying something else as I hung up.
Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

I never state my name and immediately ask who is calling, on who's behalf and where they got my details. The lady passed me on to her male colleague. Who said they got my details from the car traffic accident department. I question why they would send them any information. I also stated I have not given any permission to anyone to use my personal data or pass it on.
