I received an automated voice call about a potential overseas transaction on my credit card. I is a scam to get card details.
Had a call from above number and hung up twice.
I made the mistake some years ago in giving this company £100 deposit for advertising and they just walked off with my money, did not advertise at all. I just had another call from them on my answering machine

He told me he had received my file, and that I had some unsecured debts...I said OK. He asked me to confirm how much my unsecured debts are, I said you should know, you have my file. He then said your file says you have in the region of £5000 of debt is that correct. I said no and you have called me before and I ve asked you to stop- then he hung up...very rude!

I very stupidly entered my details so I could simply get a quote on a loan that I had been messaged details about. Ever since then I have had god knows how many calls and message s, numerous times a day. I now have to put my phone on silent so it doesn t disturb my work. I have blocked a load of different numbers but they keep ringing on different numbers. Word of advice - steer clear of them all!!

I didn't catch the company name but it was something to do with home cover - the man asked if I was me, so I said no but could I help. He said he was ringing about the cover on the washing machine at (gave my address), he said it had expired and he just wanted to check if the machine was still in good working order. Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC

A well spoken English accent for a change from the usual child caller. They at least had the business owners name for a change but the usual failure to state their name or purpose was present, my suggestion that the owner had gone to Tunisia for the summer will, no doubt, fail to put them off their mission of calling every day for the foreseeable future.
