Caller asked for the home owner and said it was not a sales call. the company did have our surname but did not ask to speak to Mr or Mrs......... When I asked how they got our number (ex-directory) they just put the phone down.

Concerned about this number but this positive (or mitigating) experience to mention. 02036973209 had called me and I either did not answer or hung up on unwanted call. Then I Mistakenly used the no. for texts to my singing tutor (who had also first rung at same sort of time). I have had NO PROBLEMS with the caller on 02036973209. Did not text back and have not been ringing again.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. I have been called 3 times by this number today. It is highly irritating as I drive a lot. No one there when I answered the third time of them calling. I called back to a recorded message with an American accent saying This number is out of service . My guess is that they are testing to see if the number is in use and you will get a load of marketing text messages once this number is answered or called back which I recommend you do neither.

Keep getting calls and spoof texts, they claim to be Scottish Power but they are not. They tell me my number is linked o a SP account but I rang SP from their website number and they have advised me there is no account with my number. I cannot make them stop so having to change my number. It been happening for months but I ignored them until it ramped up to daily.
