They collect on all gov debt. Pretty rude company and very unorganised however they are legitimate. If you deal with them make sure you keep records of the conversations as they may lose information and forget conversations had, even if they call you a hour after you have called them

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Was called by this number several times, when i tried to call it back i just got a recorded message, it did not say who the caller was. However a week or so later i received a letter from Yorkshire Water saying they wanted to change my water meter and it had this number on the letter.

Got the same type of call - a recorded message Talking about a grand and Pensions and that I m under 60 - Wrong .... Press 5 or 9 - I chose to do neither. It has to be some kind of marketing call. Keep getting calls and spoof texts, they claim to be Scottish Power but they are not. They tell me my number is linked o a SP account but I rang SP from their website number and they have advised me there is no account with my number. I cannot make them stop so having to change my number. It been happening for months but I ignored them until it ramped up to daily.

The caller location came up as Brecon, Wales. I didn't answer it. judging by previous comments I was right not to.
