Spam call. Tried to tell me they were from Currys PC World and peddle some phone upgrade. Not at Currys PC World customer, so why would they have my number, clearly fake. When I asked why they would contact me if I am not a customer they just hung up.

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. They were telling me that Amazon had taken money from my account and were trying to get my bank details.

I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. Asked for my full name, which I queried as he was supposed to have my account records. However, not giving anything away, I did so but he misspelled everything. Pre recorded Scam call relating to unexpected withdrawals from a bank account. No name or bank mentioned. Asked for me to press 1 to confirm. That's a giveaway (red flag) as is the lack of personal details. I put the phone down immediately.

SCAM!! A female with an Asian accent. Asked to speak to Mr XXXX (if you are going to scam someone at least get their gender right). Asking if I could secure whether I had any unsecured debt. I had a bit of spare time so I turned the conversation upside down and started grilling her. She allegedly got my details from GRS which she said was a government agency. I received a call from someone claiming to be from O2 offering a 50% discount. Wanted me to read a one time code. I checked and I did have a text from O2 but the code said it was to retrieve my account and that O2 would not ask for the number. I told the guy this and he insisted that it was a promotional code and the warning meant I shouldn't tell anyone else about the number. Looked up the number and it wasn't connecte with O2. I demanded proof from the guy that he was from O2 and he got upset at me. SCAM!
