Possibly an accidental call, but caller name register with number is unknown to me and is foreign

Got a call from 01997 617418 and he said he was called “Daniel”, obviously incorrect based on accent. He said he was from Curry’s PC World! Stating he was doing mobile phone upgrades. Upon notification of the fact I had already upgraded recently he hung up.

Irish traveller scammers, they arrived in a pair to purchase goods with a fake banking app. Used every excuse possible. Probably a burner number but blocked. Sent them away without the goods and they called back trying to “show me the reference number” and arrange a call with bank of Ireland.

The call is protracted and the caller goes into lots of detail leaving you with the feeling that you have a problem. One of those too good to be true scenarios but did eventually give up once I said I was not interested a couple of time
