Weird call - phone "answered itself" when no-one was near it. I heard voices and went to investigate - found my phone playing a recorded message. A bit unsettling really. Anyone else had this experience?

The "old" chestnut washing machine warranty scam!

This number keeps calling my elderly mother pretending its about a loan she had. They keep providing her with info like date of birth, asking her to confirm expecting her to provide the correct one. When I ring this number it says it is an old number. My 11 year old was with her when they last called and he said they were very pushy and kept asking her to confirm bank details.

Recorded message states "National Database" shows that I need an energy assessment to get a boiler replacement. Illegal cold-call.

Claim line in relation to Road Traffic Collison. Male called from 03303900462 and continued to talk after I had told him that any information regarding me or any road traffic collison was none of his business. Male caller continued to talk abut recently changes in the law and if I had a passenger in the vehicle. Again I told him that was none of his business. Had a call from Indian voice, male, telling me he was not seeing me anything but doing a survey.

Steve Star from some company offering legal advice and help. Asked if I d had an accident in the last 2.5 years or if someone in the family had. I asked him for the source of the information on me. He asked me what I meant? I said that if he was saying I had an accident , he must have some information on me and in that case, I had a right to know the source. He said " we help people , that s what we do" then he hung up - very helpful!!

I got a call from some guy offering services to my windows and doors.........call came through at 8pm at night. I am not saying yes to anything...

I called this number back after a missed call from them. The automated system attendant stated "Thank you for calling Plan International". This is a charity organisation for children that I recently subscribed to (2 staff members approached my home) for monthly donations, thus not a rogue caller (for me anyway)

Called to tell me that, as I had just bought a new car, they were going to provide me with hte best insurance deal. Who knew I had just bought a new car? only the dealer - Swale Car Shop - who presumably have passed on my details.
