Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. When I checked 10 minutes ago, *this* service said there had been 16 searches in the last 10 days. Now when I've returned 20 minutes later it says there have been 20 searches. SCAM Got 2 calls today, first one at 8am with a man with a indian accent who wasn't sure what name to call the caller and second one a woman more confident but as soon as I said that I was going to report her number at Action Fraud she started to panic. I made her believe that she was recorded and she change her tone of voice to terminate the call asap. Seems that they only hire Indian people behind this number.

Guy purporting to be from’ car phone warehouse company’. Could hardly understand what he was saying - when I queried what he wanted, he hung up.

People claiming to be from EDF and seemed to know a lot about me which made me think it was genuine. Luckily I got suspicious when they started throwing deals at me and I hung up.
Really do not know why this country's Government permits the likes of telecom companies to provide landline numbers to fraudsters and scam artists so when you look at it the telecom companies are complicit in the actions of these criminals and are profiting from crimes of fraud and as I see it the Government are just as complicit as they are doing sweet bugger all to stop them

The caller said she was from O2 and We were due for a free gift of Wireless Headphones as a security what was my place of birth. I found out that the fraudsters had chaned my password by going on the O2 website and requesting a 6 digit number and asking me to give it to them.. I don't thimk I have suffered losses . I obviously reset my password. The caller was an Indian female, this is not unusual as, Indian Call Centres are experts in fraud I have been involved in investigating Indian call centre.
