It's a company called First Contact by Utilita. I was called on my mobile and they hung up. A return call revealed they were a call centre and I have now blocked the number.

I was called from this number at 7:53 on Monday morning. Call from 'Microsoft Technical Centre'. I pointed out the inconvenient time and they promised to call back...........' I told them not to bother.

Best investment I have made though the odd call (usually a new number) gets through. This number was one of the few that did and had a bit of fun wasting their time. SCAM first said my computer has been hacked. When I said I didn’t have a computer they said it was my mobile that was hacked and they we’re going to disconnect my phone so I told them to do it. Surprise nothing happened.

I answered the call but they hang up. I've received two calls from mobile numbers that have the same first 5 numbers. These scammers seem to use a number very similar to yours. I guess to make you think it looks like a genuine caller. Best is not to answer. If there is no voice message left then it is likely to be a scam.

Ended the call as another number that called my home last week was for the same thing; I didn't answer that call but it was on 'who called me' as the same thing.
