The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Same as below received emailed ebay order confirmation which states 'call us on + 20 7665 0123 to report this to our fraud protection team'. Just recently used ebay for first time in years so very suspect and definately not a genuine order. Report direct to ebay direct, not on number provided in invoice, from the online site and Actionfraud website.

This is a suspected nuisance call. On picking up there was a recorded message asking for verification details. I immediately put the phone down. I have had a couple of calls from another Bridgend number in the last few weeks. 01656 723940 seems to belongs to a Mr Steven Walters of Dennis Place, Bryncethin, Bridgend. If so he needs to know it is illegal to call anyone who is TPS registered.

An Asian voice, poor English spoken, said they were from Open Reach, and needed to check my modem. They made a give-away mistake as they got my internet provider wrong. This is the third call over the last 10 days, saying the same thing. But I didn't make a note of the number until the third time they called, which was today at 4.30 pm.

As per the first comment, I received 2 texts 5 mins. apart claiming that EVRI hadn't been able to deliver a parcel........that I'd never ordered.......probably asking for banking details in the provided link.

SCAM pretending to be a BT engineer as you have an unsecured BT Internet line gets you to download software to get access to your bank details. Knows you name, landlines number, address and postcode

Recorded voice told me that my bank account had had attempted withdrawals and, if I wanted to stop them, to press 1 or 2 to speak to an "adviser" . I did neither and hung up and then blocked the number
