When answering the call, a pre-recorded male voice told me that my NI number would be under investigation, because several fraudulent activities had been registered. It then urged me to press 1 for further information. I terminated the call immediately. However, this does not seem a legitimate phone number from which such a call would be made. Therefore, I am classing this as scam/fraud.

Call from heavily-accented female who told me I have lots of viruses and malware on my computer. I asked where she was from - Windows department(!) I believe it is someone who called the wrong number. I got a caller on my mobile. I have my number for more than 10 years. I think she misdialled from her phone. She asked for Gemma. I just said there is no Gemma and she got the wrong number. I can't say if this is a trick or not.

Accident scam.
Insurance. Very suspicious. The caller claimed to be calling about renewal of an insurance policy on my washing machine. He sounded convincing until he said he wanted to confirm my bank details. I asked him to tell me what details he had and he said he didn't have that information and wanted me to give them to him. Naturally, I refused to do this and he quickjy terminated the conversation. This is probably an attempted fraud.
