We have 2 phones sending 2051 sms. Both are Nokia C21 plus and appear to have been hacked or have malware in stock ROM. Other owners of this phone are reporting the same problem. SCAM - SCAMMER - SCAM - SCAMMER - SCAM - SCAMMER - SCAM *********************************************************************************** The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls.
This number called 4 times and hung up - no message. 09.13 4th May 2023. Suspicious.

This number called me on 28.04.23. Supposedly, a message from my bank to inform that my debit card had been used for suspicious purchases. To cancel the 2 transactions and speak to an agent press 1, which I did. A woman with a very strong foreign accent requested my name, date of birth and address in order to make the cancellation. She then asked for my card sort code, which rang alarm bells. I told her that if she was calling from my bank she should already know that and I would ring them. She hung up.

Apparently won £750 voucher from Tescos obviously bogus and a scam. Didn't click link or do scything but block it. Some day people may not fall for this rubbish.

Contact us if this was NOT you via, 0333 339 4872”. Apparently both numbers in France. FFS fed up to the back teeth with scammers - LPA for my mum who has been scammed out of thousands of pounds. They need shooting.

Scam claiming to deliver parcels
This number rang on 09/03/23. When I answered, the call just ended. This number rang again on 10/03/23. The caller had a South Asian accent, knew my name and enquired about the car accident I'd had. I responded that this would be the car accident I hadn't had and told him to stop wasting my time. There was a fairly insincere 'apology' that he'd been given the incorrect details.

SPAM. I have been getting 2 calls a day on my mobile for several months. every call uses a different number. Until recently these numbers were from a lady speaking Chinese, who then switched to English prompting a message that indicted. This lady, says each she represents a selection of companies, including parcel services, internet companies etc... A after several weeks I started to get a random selection of international calls from different countries. All apparently random. The latest from Northern

SCAM Said they were O2. Very convincing. Sent an OTP, like a fool, I gave it to them. By the time their call ended, and I got through to O2 (max 10 minutes), they’d already changed my email and postal addresses. O2 tell me the only time they will ask for the OTP is when a customer calls them. Looks like I stopped them in time, all details now changed, and security info changed, but be careful people. I’m a cautious type, but they fooled me
