Usual thing. Clearly voice-activated, as there s a long delay before speaking. Asked to speak to me by surname, so I just hung up. In the past I ve listened to what their introduction, and then politely told them I m not interested, and thanks for calling. Nowadays I just put the phone down. If it s a genuine caller, then they ll call back ... which they never do.

I only answered because they have called me repeatedly for over a month. A man first asked for Lucy then when I said hello again he asked for Paul. I called the number from my land line & its possibly a company called something like Turn Signal. When I asked him to repeat the name he asked for my name so I hung up.

SCAM, they seem to have my name, keep telling me that I signed up for a scheme to make money, despite telling them over 10 times not to call me and to take my name off their list they keep calling from different numbers.

Call about an accident. When I said that I was not involved, the caller asked when did it happen. The caller hung up when I asked how could there be a specific time when it didn't happen at all.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 14136723xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with usual accident chasers, PPI, insurance marketing - holly trinity of nowadays telemarketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with something new, new scope?

They say they are from the National Survey. They've called me yesterday and I said I didn't want to take part. They then called me again this morning arguing with me that they didn't call me yesterday....I have the same number in my phone log! STOP HARASSING!
Called today on my personal mobile phone which is supposed to be completely private as opposed to my work phone. I didn't pick up the call as I knew that it wasn't family or friend. As these calls are all reported here in a short space of time, it makes me wonder if some poor disadvantaged desperate person is being paid £10 a day to sit and dial random numbers just to see who if anyone answers. And if the call is answered then their number might be sold on to other money making profiteers!
