Message arrived over WhatsApp - I guess it's now the platform of choice for scammers, as bulk SMS costs money? Suspicious "hi, hope you are doing well" received, and nothing else. I'd suggest do not reply, not even to ask "who is this?", as it's likely a scam. If it was somebody I knew, I'd expect them to use my name and/or identify themselves if they can see we haven't communicated before.

Very slick, found out where my child goes and said 'headmaster will call you yo thank you'......then start pressurising payment over the phone and calling back daily. This number rang my landline on both 18 and 19 August. Just rang long enough to get me near the phone, but not long enough to pick up - annoying. When I rang the number (from a safe untraceable mobile) I got the recorded message 'Number not in service' ! At best it's spam - at worst it's fraud, so I'll class it as a scam.
