this company keep calling me re debts owed by my son.My son died 18 months ago aged 24 and i am heartbroken. i have told this to srj debt recovery to no effect they continue to call again and again.to be honest i am really upset and angry with them.i now seriously considering getting legal help and also finding ways to ensure as many people as possible know what this firm is capable of.
SCAM - Claimed to be calling from The Insulation Advisory Board in Reading - it doesn't exist. Stated that insulation installed under previous 'Green Scheme' needed checking for damp every 4 years and they would arrange to do it for Free!! Mildly irritating and worrying for the unworldly. Fraud - This is a National Insurance scam where you are asked to press 1 - DO NOT PRESS 1 - CUT THEM OFF AND BLOCK THE NUMBER. It's an automated message that says your National Insurance number is about to be blocked for various illegal activities and if you don't act now one of their officers will be round the arrest you. According to Martin Lewis someone lost £8,000 this way. DON'T PRESS 1 - TERMINATE THE CALL AND BLOCK THE NUMBER - TELL YOUR FRIENDS TOO

Foreign female voice said she was calling from Nationwide and someone at my telephone number had had an accident in the last 3 years. No-one has! My mother has been contacted many times on this and other phone numbers. The message, from the caller is always the same, she tells my mother, first in English and then in Chinese that she has a package waiting for her, to collect from the Chinese embassy. This is clearly a scam call.

If you do answer the nuisance calls and it’s NOT an automated message, be polite to the agent, talk to him/her. Remember they are on commission, so waste their time. State you are interested in their SCAM products. Give them false info. If you can arrange a rep to visit, do it at a local café and don’t turn up. I think you get the idea. This is probably where lying would be acceptable even if it’s not in your nature.
