Had 3 calls over the last few days from various numbers all starting with the same dalling code, 01926. Call received from this number today, 27 February 2023 @ 10:16. I did not answer, but they left a message, which I felt was an attempt to trick me into responding in order to avoid paying unlawful requests for several hundred pounds. I believe this to be a scam call from someone pretending to be from Amazon.

SCAM rings almost daily demanding payment for internet service un-named by the automated caller

No longer do I speak when I answer a number not familiar. If it's a cold call, they will speak first. If it's someone who knows me, they will speak if I don't. This one just hung up, so I can deduce it was an unsolicited and unwanted call and blocked them.

I don't know who the caller was as I did't answer and they didn't leave a message. I called the number back, to be told by a message that the ''call is not recognised'' so who ever they are, they are probably not very legit.
As soon as the answer machine comes on the caller hung up.
