Pretending to call on behalf of the DVLA. Wanting to know if I owned a diesel car in return for compensation. I didnt confirm. Knew my first name. Got aggressive and refused to remove my details from the database. Threatened me with more calls. Blocked and reported.
They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. This number has tried phoning multiple times. I haven't picked up because why would I if I'm not expecting a call from London. No idea if it is dangerous or not but just tread carefully with it I guess.
Upon answering it plays an automated about HMRC trying to send a letter that had been returned. Hung up after 1 sentence, but this is likely Fraud/SCAM.

This number called me on 28.04.23. Supposedly, a message from my bank to inform that my debit card had been used for suspicious purchases. To cancel the 2 transactions and speak to an agent press 1, which I did. A woman with a very strong foreign accent requested my name, date of birth and address in order to make the cancellation. She then asked for my card sort code, which rang alarm bells. I told her that if she was calling from my bank she should already know that and I would ring them. She hung up.

They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls.

This number is SAFE - its a Hair Restoration Clinic and they only phone you if you enquired with them in the first place an asked for a call back - really nice chap answered the phone and was helpful

I've got the call. When I picked up, some guy was laughing. Later a guy mentioned he was from my O2 provider company. I am not currently under contract with the O2. Then he laughed and hung up. I wasn't sure if this call was from a house with joking kids or if this was a real company. If that is a company, they have to have more attention to training their people to behave.

SPAM checking on Google the number appears to belong to Niagra Heathcare in Crawley. There is no reason for them to be calling me, we rarely use our landline and would not have given out this number.
