Fairly well spoken Man claiming I had just called him from my number. Repeatedly asked me for my name when I kept telling him that I hadn’t called him he kept asking me who he was speaking to! Told him I wouldn’t give him my name as he had called me and not the other way round. He went way in the end. Not sure if it was a genuine mistake on his part but I’d certainly not called anyone snd double checked my phone, but he was determined to try and get my name.

Another call purporting to be from Virgin Media saying my security is at risk. I put the phone down but telling them beforehand that I was putting the phone down.

Rang at 7.50am on 11 Feb, did not answer, but when rang the number back number unavailable, so must be a scam. A nuisance/ scam call.

Called I’m helped with with my life insurance company. Really useful person on the phone and saved me getting the wrong policy.

I have managed to confirm that calls from this number are from a company debt management company called Stephenson Drake (www.stevensondrake.com. They operate by automated cold calling your number. You will either hear silence or a message asking if you are having problems with debt. If you press 5 to speak to someone then you are cut off BUT your number is stored and you will receive a follow up call from them. Their number is 0161 826 6182 They also use:- 08434108745, 08434107237, 08439601357 and oth

This is a number used by scammers trying to access your computer by telling you that it is infected, they guide you to view the syslog and look at the really bad infections. Then if you are daft enough they get you to open a command prompt window and log onto their website - result yhey have your computer and bye bye to lots of money

Called asking for me by name regarding an accident I'd had on the road. Not had one and when I told them they were polite and said they'd remove my number (I doubt it)
