They are Accident Claim Experts and called about an accident that I had supposedly had in Bristol. I hadn't been in an accident and asked them to take me off their list of people to contact. THey ignored my request and just kept trying to find out who had the accident and finding the error that had led to my number coming up. Conversation ended badly......definitely a nuisance though!

Sevaral calls over the past week, silent call. I phone back as I thought it was a cusomer but it was recorded message about Motor Assist or something similar. Called again today, my wife answered they said I had been involved in a accident. I was out in my van at the time so my wife was a bit worried. It is not a landline number but a Broadband line number which has an area code to look like a landline number.

The first caller said they were from BT and they would be disconnecting me from the Internet because of faults on my computer, or something like that. It was actually difficult to understand them. Fraud/scam - voicemail was an automated message from 'HMRC' saying they are investigating my financial activity and that an arrest warrant has been issued in my name. Reported immediately to the real HMRC, it looks like this sort of thing is happening a lot lately.
Recorded Message reagrding Claiming PPI. Gives you the option of pressing Key 9 to Opt out of receiving further calls. Don't bother it has no effect.
