Being a resident of Wigan Borough I answered this Wigan number (01942) in case it was something important. Caller identified themselves as Insurance Review, saying I needed to review my Life Insurance, they mentioned the panel of insurers they work on behalf of and said they give impartial advice . I can t say whether they are legitimate or not, but seems like they re just a 3rd party sales/referral channel for these insurers. Probably nothing more than an irritation, but I would avoid giving details

This number claims to be from Three.co.uk - This is not true. They are a brokerage service with no name. Three.co.uk confirms they would never cold call and wouldn t use this number to market from. Do not fall for their lyes.

Got a quote online following an advert on Facebook. Due to price decided not to take the offer & thought that’d be the end of it. BIG MISTAKE....4 calls within 5hrs & a total of 11 calls in 5 days. Seem to be many scam calls using bridgnorth area code. This number phoned mobile but did not leave message when left un-answered. I tend not to pick up unexpected numbers.
My phone filters all calls through call blocker where they have to announce who they before we accept or other actions. This number just hung up even before the screening process so highly suspicious.
SCAM: Automated voice is claiming to be a criminal investigation office, then probably connects you to a scammer.

SCAM - PAYPAL TEXT MESSAGE SCAM
Automated voice stating they where calling from HMRC and that there was a fraudulent case against me and if I did not press 1 immediately then a warrant would be issued and I would be arrested. Firstly HMRC will never call you and secondly I am still waiting for the police to show up at my door and arrest me for nothing. Utter nonsense. Don't be fooled by these calls people.
FRAUD - Indian call centre wanted to get hold of a BT PIN number they had fraudulently triggered so they could take over my BTInternet account. Reported to BT.
