recorded message saying my VISA had been used fraudulently with a payment of £400 to Amazon and £700 to Wester Union and as I had never used Western Union it was suspicious and to press one to talk to someone. Definitely a scam. DO NOT PRESS ONE!! put the phone down and call your bank if you're worried.

Said he was from Amazon and was phoning about my job resistant order for an iPhone. Wanted to talk about my email then hung up. Appeared to be potentially a scam.
This number called me at approx 11.27 am. Caller addressed me by my first name but that was all I could understand, the noise going on in the background (His) drowned out everything else he was saying. I would describe the noise as though he was calling me from a very busy PUB. I told the caller this and hung up. No attempt was made to call me back. SCAM

A SCAM - be very careful as the person on the phone will try to get you to download a programme called "anydesk.com" which gives remote access to your computer. In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up. Asked for a "Mr. Raymond"; when informed he had the wrong number, he requested my name to add to their caller registry. I declined, and he tried to tell me something about investing. I ended the call early by saying I had stuff to do. Overall the guy on the other end was very respectful and polite, and had a very mild Indian accent, so I think he might've been legit. Of note, however, is that my number is a Canadian number.
