I have four calls this morning 2 numbers I did not managed to log, the third was a private number. This one I logged. Each call is telling me they are calling me from Sky, none are native English speakers, telling me I have a problems with my internet connection, which I do not, being an IT consultant I think I am in a good position to know. When I tell them my credentials they hang up. Going to speak to sky and pass all the information on. First caller did ask if I could hear him.

Rang once, couldn t understand name of company but heard PPI, so put phone down, rang back immediately and the male operative said, "Why did you put the phone down", I replied, "Cos I m not interested". He answered, "Interested in what" in an angry tone, so I just said, "In whatever you re selling" and hung up again. The phone then rang again immediately and I didn t answer. Didn t like the tone of the call at all, or appreciate being rung back a further twice.

Received a call today from "Martin" who claimed to be from TPS, confirmed my phone number (which he rang to), my name and address and then asked me to confirm my expiry date for credit/debit card - when posed the question "why" he needed to know financial details for a free service, he suggested It was for verification purposes - I declined and asked from which company he was calling, at which point the phone went dead - SCUM!

Says they work one place, live another, work in another. They even messaged saying "Hello, my name is Mark"..... So they called me earlier today claiming to be Virgin. They were offering me a deal to upgrade my services and I was wary of them for quite a while, however they never asked me for any bank details only to confirm personal information so I proceeded with the call. After seeing the reviews here I got worried after by how much they knew about my account so I called Virgin, who confirmed it was in fact their marketing team and the deal I was offered had been genuine and that upgrades were indeed in the works.

A female voice claiming to be from Microsoft went through a rigmarole of getting the Event Viewer up. I disconnected from the internet and obeyed. She then tried to tell me that these messages were all about hacker activity on my computer, then asked me to use Run to load Internet Explorer, which I do not have on this computer and I relayed the message "Windows cannot find iexplore". She tried again spelling letter by letter what I should type into the run box. That team member asked me to hold on while
