I've just kept one of their team talking for 12 minutes, saving others from being called by this scam! They claim to be "Road Traffic Management" and that they can get you additional compensation for a RTA you've had. They also claim to have got your details from the MIB (Motor Insurance Database), but when pushed they claim that all they were given was your phone number and the fact that your vehicle had been in an accident in the last five years that wasn't your fault. Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

Have been changed from Virgin to 02 a month ago amp just got my 02 bill amp had been charged for sms messages to the above number over 3 different days while in Mexico totalling 12 texts which I know I hadnt sent amp some of the times they were sent was when I was asleep So even if I had done it in my sleep there would be evidence in my messages which there isnt Didnt text or call from my phone as I knew I would be charged while away 02 couldnt explain what had happened bit they did refund the money

This number called today as a recorded message stating they were banking security and that £330 bill from Amazon and a£1300 money transfer from my bank account which is unusual was taken please press 1 with your banking details. NO ITS A FISHING NUMBER WHEN YOU ARE CALLED

Caller said he was Virgin Media Technical Department and believed I was having trouble with my internet speed. He wanted me to do a speed test but when I said that I couldn't do that he disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never phoned me in the past. As far as I'm aware, Virgin never phone customers when there's any problem so I'm rating this call as dangerous.

Automated message supposedly to be from my bank about charges to my account, the first for £700. I hung up as sure it's a scam. My bank doesn't contact me this way, or in this manner. Double checked and all is fine. My bank has been very good so far at spotting fraudulent debits. This looked like a local number so it could appear legitimate. I expect there was a number to press to connect with scammer. Despicable people.
