Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. This was an automated call claiming to be from a bank (unspecified), warning me about two purchases through Amazon, on my bank card. I had a similar call for a local number earlier in the day. I didn't click 1 or 2 to authorise or to get help. Apparently the number is a landline in Bangalore!

Fraud - Incoming call from a foreign call centre. Person on the phone not very bright. When challenged with questions such as “what bank is calling me?” The person was unable to answer and ultimately terminated the call. I knew it was a scam, but just like to waste their time as much as they waste mine.

Automated call saying someone is spending £900 on my visa/ debit card if it not me press 1 before I pressed 1 it cut off
recorded message saying my card had been used today for suspicious payments of £300 and £1350 today. Then asked me to press 1to cancel payments and a couple of other options. I terminated the call. Obviously a fraud/scam as no indication of which card was involved.
I have just received a message to txt back and confirm if I still need pain managment appoitment. I have contacted NHS directly and they confirmed that this is a valid txt message coming from them.

Called today. Recorded re two huge Visa card transactions. Realised it was a scam so pressed 1 to mess with them. Amateur scammer in the middle of a meal? Argued with her for a while until she hung up after becoming very irate.
Clearly a scam - but impressive - even left a voice mail. DO NOT press 1 as the call suggests. The threatening message is clearly fraud. Why oh why can't the phone companies do something about these? Because they don't care...
