Insurance SPAM This number and very similar numbers have been calling me daily for a couple of weeks. I have missed the previous calls but answered today. A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. When I told him I don't have a policy he asked if I'd cancelled it and I told him I had and that I don't need life insurance. He immediately told me to have a good day and hung up. Suspect it's Cognism or similar checking they have the correct mobile numbers for contacts they're selling. Ask for you by first name, then when you say it's you, they say a random surname and then claim they must have a wrong number.

Accident Calling from "the insurance company" when I asked him which one he just said about the accident I'd had. I asked which accident, as I've had a lot recently (I haven't needless to say) to which he replied the minor bump in the car. When I told I'd had a few of those in the last couple of months and I was worried that they were going to take my licence off me, but I didn't think it was my fault, even though they all said it was .... then the line suddenly went very quiet. :-)
Hung up as soon as I answered. I suspect this is a scam.

This company is suposed to be a Management Property Company.(alas I didn't catch the name) They phoned today theBank Holiday for our Queens Funeral which I was watching. When I rang it back (02045 385857) it rang & rang. but no reply. It was not a normal ring for the UK but a ring for abroad. This made me think it was the middle of the night somewhere. The lady I spoke to was called ANN............The whole world knew what was happening in the UK . Disgusting.........

housing repair scam.
Left a message on my answer phone which was difficult to understand but appeared to be about an address for parcel delivery. They never said who they were or asked if I was the person they were trying to contact and further investigation showed that calls to this number cost 16p a minute from a landline plus a setup fee of 23p.

This is a hoax .... say they are from currys and PC world... they offer upgrade on your phone, 1 week on no new phone canceled card payment and direct debit, phoned again today soon as they heard my voice they hung up, I've been keeping the line busy for the past 2 hours .... got nothing better to do. I know ut won't do any good but I must be annoying them and stopping them catching anyone else out.

Difficult to hold a sensible conversation, transpired person wanted to make a case for selling wall and roof insulation.
