SCAM claimed to be insurance on domestic appliances up for renewal - quoted my name, address and phone number (all as per phone directory) at me,then asked for my date of birth for verification - I asked him to tell me my date of birth so that I could verify it and (surprise, surprise) the line went dead.
This is for the Sandyford clinic in Glasgow asking if I could come in for my test results. Wrong number, I'm Deborah but David. WTF.

I picked up, cloud hear them talking to someone else in the background, then they hung up. Presumably cold-calling multiple numbers at the same time and someone answered just before I did.
Somehow knew my mobile phone network, offered me 30% discount and would transfer me to a supervisor. Did not mention my name or his. Scam. Number blocked. Do the same.
Calls 10+ times a day, no one is on the other end of the line.

I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. The call was from someone claiming to be from visa saying somebody was trying to draw £900.from my account.

Claim to be form Financial Services Authority and there is a frozen account in my name, a bitcoin account. Want to transfer funds back to me and close the account. I haven't invested in bitcoin so told them to trace where money came from and pay it back to that account. So obvious that it is a scam to get your bank details.
