Recieved phonecall from 01702311311 today claiming that some fraudulent transactions had been made using my bank card, one being from Amazon worth £100 & another from an international transaction worth over £1000. I recieved exactly the same phonecall the day before from a different number. I know these not to be true because they never say which bank they are from and never say which card it is from. Just to be safe I will let my Bank know about this so they can keep a check for me.

Wanted to know mother's maiden name, how long I've lived at this address, debit card number, etc. When I challenged why they needed this information, she said it was for their verification team to verify who I was. 64057 is the number to text to STOP reciving messages from We Buy Any Car.com On my network, O2 this is rated as a premium rate number/service so I was charged 13p to opt out. I dont know if other mobile providers recognise this number as a premium rate number or not. WBAC stated that they operate this as a free service and the cost charged is from O2 in my instance. I know its not a biggie - but strange to be charged.

No longer do I speak when I answer a number not familiar. If it's a cold call, they will speak first. If it's someone who knows me, they will speak if I don't. This one just hung up, so I can deduce it was an unsolicited and unwanted call and blocked them.
