Called at 07.45am. Female caller said she was from Virgin Media voice sounded "far eastern sub continent", Call centre noises in back ground. Virgin media calls centres open at 08.00am. Can only believe it was a scam call. They hung up when queried about such an early call time

Got a random text from it reading "Snapchat [code] passcode for phone enrolment Never share it" If it's a phishing scam it's a bit weak, I'm not even sure where I need to enter the code to get scammed (I'm guessing it's a hyperlink) Anyhow I know it's not legit because I don't even use Snapchat
The person addressed my by my first name, they stated that they where a pimp. There as noise in the background and the caller had an unknown accent

I called them they said they will need to take me through the process of cancellation which involved me being on the computer to fill in the cancellation form. Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?
