I called this number back and they said it was vodafone. He wanted to chat about my contract but got disconnected. I contacted vodafone to check if this number was them and they confirmed that it was a courtesy call from them, so it seemed to be genuine.

All they do is charge you a monthly fee to register you on the free TPS register This company is a part of the problem, not the solution. They have been told many times to stop calling & that all percieved "permissions" to call have been recinded. SCAM. Called me when I answered got an automated message stating that I’m being investigated for tax fraud and to press number 1. If I don’t press number 1 a warrant wil be issued for my arrest. Clearly a scam as no one gets arrested for tax fraud oh and I’m also PAYE! Beware

Robo voice claiming i needed to speak to an operator for a tax fraud against me or a warrant would be issued and I would be arrested shortly - I'll take my chances on that one.
I had a call from 0161 524 5263 but the caller rang off before I could get to my phone. Within seconds the phone rang again, this time showing 020 4538 7049. I thought it all must be some sort of scam so didn't answer and no messages were left.
